Beautiful place! Food was delicious but drinks could've been better.
We've been coming here regularly since we discovered the place a few months back, haven't had a single bad experience. Fantastic food and service!
Great ambiance, exceptional service, amazing food--we ordered more but I ended up only taking photos of our main dishes. Which is not availible right now so I can't post them in my reviews. Overall it was a great timing there and wish to go there again. As they serve one of the best foods with such a quality.
Sautéed calamari with tomato, basil, and nicoise olives.bEscargot with mushrooms, lemon, garlic, and butter.bPotato croquettes with a pommery mustard cream dipping sauce on the side. Lobster Mac and cheese made with cavatappi pasta, roasted butter reduction, and fine herbs. recommend
We were a party of eight and we all enjoyed everything we had. Between all of us we had the pastry board, the escargot, shrimp and grits, a breakfast platter, a burger, French toast, a fried pork chop special, king crab toast, steak and eggs, lobster Mac and cheese and French onion soup. recommend
Amazing food and outstanding service!! 💜
Wonderful
What a phenomenal dining experience! From the attentive and knowledgeable, but not over bearing, wait staff, to the creative and fun cocktails and superb food! Orsay is on par with any Michelin starred dining experience I’ve had!
Great for a romantic dinner!
The restaurant is beautiful.
The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. This is a highly popular restaurant which is reflected in their prices.
There isn't a mediocre thing about this place. The fact that they don't charge $100 a plate is astounding. I've had far worse meals at Michelin started restaurants. And the wait staff is PHENOMENAL.
Great place for very interesting food.
Exceptional service!!
Absolutely outstanding Cocktail program and an excellent Bouillabaisse. Truffle mac is a serious classic, but the Lobster mac is great too. I seriously recommend their take on a G&T.
My fiance gives this place five stars, but it's a solid four for me. My app was lovely, the trois fois was good. Oddly more pate than crackers and onion jam. My fish main was just ok. I'm all about the seafood and this dish while competently made was underwhelming for where we were. She did say her main was not as good as the last time she had it. Service was good, not great. I still think for what you pay the juice is not quite worth the squeeze.
One of my favorite restaurants in Jacksonville! So much so that we're celebrating my daughters college graduation there this weekend. Amazing food with cocktails and dessert options too. Yumm!!
Delicious food and great atmosphere
My wife and I ate here for my 40th birthday. It was a fantastic experience. They really get the French basics right. I got the strip steak special that had a side dish of potatoes, cauliflower and lobster in a cheesy bechamel sauce. 100% recommend that dish. My wife had the scallops over squash risotto and loved it! Be mindful that scallop dish is extremely rich when ordering sides.
Great food and service, put this place at the top of your list
French food, yeah, quality stuff. It was so appetizing. Definitely worth a return trip.
We came to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was excellent! Our server was Jenni and she was great at answering questions and overall attentiveness. We happened to arrive before 7 so we were able to enjoy a couple small plates and drinks from the happy hour menu. My wife really enjoyed her French pear cocktail and my Hey Jealousy was refreshing as well. We had the scallop tartare and escargot to start and loved them both. The tartare was light and bright with just enough acid to not overpower the sweetness of the scallop. The escargot was rich and hearty tasting but not heavy and packed a wonderful depth of savory flavor into a small plate. Next we had the foie gras which was devine! As you would expect, it was rich and unctuous but the sauce brought a nice tang that mellowed the heaviness. For our main courses we had the duck breast and the striped bass special. My wife loved the bass and said she especially enjoyed the sauce which really made the dish. The duck breast was also delicious, it was perfectly medium rare and paired nicely with a glass of red wine. Since we were celebrating we foolishly ordered dessert. While the chocolate dome was delicious, the almond cream tart's salted caramel was either too salty or they added too much which overpowered the tart. Overall it was a memorable meal and we will definitely be returning in the future.
Good
Great service and vegetarian options
Cozy place with good atmosphere, great food, great service.
This place is the best in Jax! I recently went to Orsay for dinner after not having been able to for a couple of years. Nothing has changed! Everything is just first class, from the atmosphere, to the wait staff, to the kitchen staff and the food! While you can spend less, I would come here and prepare to spend about $125 for you and a date if you want to really enjoy yourselves! Also, do not be intimidated if you are unsure as to what a particular menu item is. The staff are fully knowledgeable in French cuisine, but it's Southern Hospitality all the way, and they will make you feel comfortable, guiding you to a tasty decision. Definitely the best fine dining experience available in Jacksonville. Can't wait to go back...
Food is fantastic - Jon and his staffgo above and beyond to ensure that you have a good experience.
Excellent Great food, nice ambience, very friendly, fair prices, nice location
I’ll start with the highlights. Our waitress was very attentive. Appetizers were fantastic. Marinated calamari was out of this world. I have never had calamari this soft and delicious. Escargot were really good, but I never had them served with mushrooms, so that was a bit different... but it was doable. I asked to add tofu to my shepherds pie and I got it! It was the silky kind and it went really well with the mashed potatoes. The whole dish was delightful and filling. My husband had the trout. He said it was quite good. This is a great little place to experience a little bit of France in Florida.
For entrees, she had the lobster pot pie and I had the bouillabaise. The lobster dish was more of a deconstructed pot pie but she said there was a generous amount of lobster and the other elements were all delicious. The bouillabaise was a wonderful hearty serving. The broth had a great seasoning.
I'd give this place 5 stars based on the entrees we had, specifically the duck breast and lentils. However the appetizers were not to our liking, and the service was disappointing for a restaurant in this price range.
french food, super good. service is prompt even when they are busy. the place has an awesome atmosphere.
french food and the setting at this spot is very good. Food was so fresh. The staff was very helpful and observant. This place has a great feel to it. Kinda of like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed.
Outstanding experience! Great place for a romantic date and a special evening for that one special person. Many top choice menu selections. Sufficient food plating, kind & knowledgeable staff.
Highly recommend. The food was delicious
Good spot for tasty French food. They have so many reviews for a reason.
"We had ordered the doro wat, tibs and vegan combo and everything was delicious."
Absolutely delicious!
One of my top places for delicious french food. It's so savory. There was quick and friendly service. Prices were average for the menu. This place has many good reviews for a reason.
The staff was very pleasant. The bread, rockerfeller-like oysters and the pork chop were great. Even the unexpected Birthday dessert treat was neat! But, the grits were too gritty, the vegetable and grits combo and vegetable shepherd's pie were not to our liking. The Trust Us drink combo from Josh was excellent! It was a nice experience but probably won't attend for dinner again.
I have never had a negative experience when Visiting. Every dish is perfect with service to match. A must try for anyone who enjoys the best of food dishes accompanied by exquisite service. 10/10
Good food and fair representation of French cuisine. Service was stellar. Drinks were absolutely on point.
The food was really good, drinks were great, service was decent, we did have a couple problems with our meals but nothing too serious. I also found a long hair baked into my bread which as I understand it, comes from a local bakery so no harm no foul on the part of Orsay. Definitely worth a trip to try out this place.
French food and the setting at this spot is excellent. great location to meet with friends. i'll return with my relatives. this place has a nice feel to it.
Upscale service and food. Bar staff wonderful.
One of my favorite spots for delicious French food. the service here is friendly. prices were appropriate. i see why this place has a lot of great reviews.
French food and the feeling at this spot is great. arrived at six, it was not packed. prices are fair i would say. food is like a restaurant in louisville i loved.
Outstanding scene for tasty french food. Super savory. I will be bringing friends next time. The bill was appropriate. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.
Great scene for tasty french food. service is excellent even when they are busy.
